Research Grants & collobaration

Many funded Research Projects have been going on in RUHS Jaipur as well as in the Department of Cardiology, SPMC, Bikaner of various national and international institutes or agencies.
He has worked as Research Scholar with financial assistance and collaboration of ICMR, AIIMS, Saint Johns Medical College, Bangalore, Mac Master University of Canada, Duke University of USA, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY, USA, World Heart Federation and various industries.

  • - Introduced first mobile cath lab in India (which was flag-off by President of India) with collaboration of out-reach program of Escort Hospital, New Delhi, More than 700 Coronary Angiography, cardiac Angioplasties & 100 pace makers & Valvuloplasty done free of cost.
  • - First Echo Study in school children to detect RHD in India and first time revealed significant prevalence of RHD – Awarded best paper in ACC from India. 
  • - Key person to start new medical college in Jaipur (RUHS College of Medical Sciences) in Government sector.
  • - Key person to develop Rajasthan University of Health Sciences as unique model with the cost of. 406 Cr. of rupees  and as financial independent University and developing 500 bedded hospital in 40 acres of land.
  • - Establishing Digital Library in Rajasthan University of Health Sciences on PPP mode
  • - Establishing simulation Lab on PPP mode
  • - Pioneer to start skill Upgradation course in medical & dental colleges of Rajasthan
  • - Established Chair in Bioethics of UNESCO in RUHS
  • - Introduced horizontal and vertical integration teaching in medical college  

PHILANTHROPIC AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES :-

Motivated various philanthropic agencies and social trusts in order to build & equip various hospitals and college and generate about INR. 50 crores and equal matching grant of about 50 crores by the Government of Rajasthan. Special efforts to provide medical services for poor and children. Organized special camp of pediatric cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology either free of cost or at very economy rates with the assistance of faculty of national and international repute.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Has been an active player of Table Tennis and won various State or National titles.
