Tree Plantation Drive

Tree Plantation programme was held in RUHS College of Medical Sciences on 1st July 2017 at 9 AM on the occasion of Doctor’s day. The medical students and staff of the college and University actively participated in the programme.

Various types of more then 300 plants were planted and their importance was discussed by the GREEN TEAM of RUHSCMS. Prior to each plantation activity, students were briefed about the native trees, their plantation technique and their after care. They were also asked to keep a follow up of their plantation and submit a report after every 3 months. This was followed by the watering of plants. A gardener assisted in the whole process. This drive was a great learning experience to all wherein the responsibility of growth of the plant lies with the one who planted.

Yoga Day Celebration

The Third International Yoga Day was celebrated in the campus of RUHS campus on June 21st, 2017. Over 300 enthusiasts that included medical students and staff of the constituent college and officers of University participated in the yoga session. Looking at the benefits of Yoga, a yoga unit has been established . This is done to keep it an ongoing process for students, staff as well as the patients”.

Apart from this, various contests were also held in the campus like essay writing on “Importance of Yoga in paradigm of modern times” and poster competition wherein the students were to submit various handmade or printed charts/flex with content related to Yoga.

Voluntary Blood Donation camp at constituent college of RUHS

It is an apprehension that donating blood makes one weak, which is not true. A lot of enthusiasm was seen in the campus of RUHS College of Medical Sciences, Jaipur on 14th June when a blood donation camp was organised by the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences on World Blood donation day. In all 144 units of blood was donated by the students, faculty, officials of the college as well as other health enthusiasts. A lot of enthusiasm was seen in students who made a significant contribution in saving a life which otherwise they would do as future doctors and life savers.
